Our Story

In 1936, our grandfather B.U. was born into the Patel family in Gujarat, India. Situated off the country’s western coast, Gujarat is known for its good soil, river systems and fertile lands. The Patel name was derived from the agricultural trade, synonymous with “farmer” and given to those who were stewards of the land.

But to our family, Patel means so much more than “farmer”. It represents the ability to grow healthy, sustainable food that sustains our body and our soul. At Tarsadia Farms, our mission is to nourish our family and our community, while replenishing the soil that feeds us.

Tarsadia Farms is a family-operated business that spans three generations. Though farming is new to our generation, we honor our grandparents’ farming roots, entrepreneurial spirit and fearless humility, and are grateful for the opportunity to reestablish the trade of our ancestors, one seed at a time.
